Daniel J Yeomans RCA is a contemporary painter and self-taught sculptor who studied portraiture at the internationally renowned Charles H. Cecil studios in Florence,

In 2019 Daniel’s ‘Self portrait No.3’ was added to the public collection at the National Library of Wales and his painting of Tim was shortlisted for the Jackson’s Art Award. Various portraits have previously been shortlisted by the Royal Society of Portrait painters and in 2021 Daniel was made a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy.

As well as specialising in oils Daniel creates thought-provoking installations on varying themes. Coupled with his mastery of painting these creative ideas give Daniel’s exhibitions an immersive aspect and unique style.

For many a portrait artist, the main inspiration is light. The beauty of a great painting is often found in the artist’s study of chiaroscuro. Take portrait artist Rembrandt for example, Vermeer & Monet, too. They all depicted light in their own way but what remains constant is that the lighting within their paintings is often the first most striking element pulling us in to look further.
