The Dents du Midi are very much the focal point of the Valley Champery sits in. Being the highest mountain between Lac Leman and Mont Blanc Massif, stretching 13 km in total and reaching an altitude of 3257m means you can see them from all around.
This view is painted from the ‘Route sur Coux’ with the early morning light coming up behind the peaks and small cumulus clouds beginning to form before clinging to the peaks. ‘Les Dents du Midi’ & another painting, ‘Les Dents Blanche en été‘ was also painted from the same spot.
